When opened with the sensor, the lid will automatically close after 5 seconds. A blue LED indicator alerts you to the impending closure. The lid opens and closes slowly and quietly, emitting only 50 dB of noise - as quiet as a library. The sensor on/off switch allows for manual opening and closing as well. By pressing the "open" button, you can keep the lid open as needed.

An active sensor located at palm height ensures convenient operation. The trash can comes with an inner box that can be easily removed for thorough cleaning. Additionally, the trash bag can be removed and hung on the box itself. To achieve a perfect fit, simply pull the excess bag from the backfixer at the back of the box.

EKO's exclusive spring hinge system, with its magnetic reset system, controls the lid's opening and closing motion, preventing slipping issues. This system not only ensures silent operation but also minimizes power consumption. The motor experiences less strain, ultimately increasing the trash can's durability and lifespan.
